Job Description:
Optimize and generate clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail layout drawings based on architectural and engineering plans for the fabrication of roof/floor trusses and components. Knowledge of MiTek software required.
Requirements:
- Must have 5 years of designing trusses with Mitek industry software.
- Broad knowledge of engineering fundamentals, wood truss roof and floor design and building materials. Design optimized projects with or Mitek design software
- Basic CAD knowledge
- Specify Beams, connecting hardware and other related products
- Request sealed engineering drawings and/or repair details and follow up.
- Strong visualization skills and ability to picture complex conditions in wood structures from plans and specifications.
- Effectively communicate with architects, engineers, customers and fellow team members.
