Key Responsibilities
Safely operate industrial saws to cut rough lumber into individual truss members according to shop drawings and production schedules
Read, interpret, and follow shop drawings to ensure accuracy and quality
Maintain consistent production efficiency while meeting quality standards for roof, floor, and panel components
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on saw equipment
Optimize material usage to reduce waste and support cost-saving initiatives
Assist with training and supporting stackers to ensure smooth workflow and productivity
Follow all safety procedures and participate in required safety, sawyer training, and testing programs.
Qualifications & Skills
Ability to read and write in primary language
Basic math skills and attention to detail
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and efficiency
Willingness to successfully complete all required safety and sawyer training
