Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-driven Quality Control & Safety Technician to ensure our trusses meet company, customer, and industry standards while promoting a safe working environment. This role is responsible for inspecting products, monitoring plant safety compliance, and helping reduce workplace incidents.
This position plays a critical role in protecting both our employees and the quality of our finished product.
What You’ll Do
Quality Control Responsibilities
Inspect roof and floor trusses for accuracy and structural integrity
Verify plate placement, lumber sizing, and build specifications
Compare finished product to engineered drawings and work orders
Document quality issues and communicate corrective actions
Work with production leads to improve build accuracy and reduce rework
Safety Responsibilities
Conduct routine safety walkthroughs and hazard assessments
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies
Assist with safety training and new hire orientations
Investigate minor incidents and near-misses
Maintain safety documentation and reporting logs
Promote a culture of safety across the plant
What We’re Looking For
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret basic construction or truss drawings (preferred)
Knowledge of OSHA regulations (preferred but not required)
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and hold others accountable
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Previous manufacturing, construction, or safety experience preferred

Pay with no experience: $17.50/hr
Pay with safety and quality control experience is negotiable.
Responsibilities
Conduct inspections throughout the entire plant to maintain quality of production
Must understand the configuration of trusses and panels
Oversees any required corrective action to insure quality is completed within standard regulations.
Qualifications
Understanding of SPCA, MVP and Safari
Ability to read and comprehend documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals); write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
