What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Janitor position at 84 Lumber Company?
The Part Time Janitor is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard and retail store. The associate must sweep the showroom, offices, and other areas, while also cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, and other areas as assigned. The associate will perform other duties as assigned by store management to help the daily operations of the store.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Store/Yard Maintenance
- Load and unload lumber and building supplies
- Provide service to customers
- Build loads for delivery
- Create material lists
- Keep lumber yard clean and organized
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position involves working indoors and sometime outdoors. Cashiers frequently work near moving mechanical parts
and sometimes in high precarious places. There is exposure to vibrations, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and weather conditions, including rain, humidity, extreme heat, and extreme cold.

Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training
