The picker responsible for the efficient and timely movement of lumber and materials throughout the physical plant in accordance with the Safety Standards for fork truck operation.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Hourly Rate:

• This is a Full-Time position 40 hours a week.
• Monday - Friday

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment where individual is exposed to extremes of seasonal heat and cold as well as the potentially dangerous conditions of wood truss manufacturing. 
• Work can be performed outdoors where individual is exposed to the elements.
• Exposed to noise levels consistent with building (hammering) and the operation of large, commercial saws. 
• Exposed to the saw dust generated by commercial saws.
• May be exposed to vibrations, risk of electrical shock, airborne particles and toxic chemicals.
• Eye, ear, head, and hand protection is required depending on the operation being performed.

Physical Demands:

• Requires frequent sitting, standing, repeated lifting up to 80 pounds and reaching with arms and hands.
• Heavy labor
• Uses hands to grasp, handle, and feel.
• Requires manual dexterity and strength to use a manual hammer for long periods of time. 
• Requires frequent stooping, bending, stretching.
• Requires working under stressful or emergency conditions requiring high concentration and energy level.

Supply saws promptly with lumber in order to prevent saw delays.

Perform daily operator maintenance.

Rotate and maintain lumber inventory.

Train future Pickers

Able to read and write their primary language

Able to stand or sit for long periods of time

Able to lift 50 pounds

Basic math skills
