Position Overview
We are seeking a safety-focused and dependable Forklift Operator to support material movement and shipping operations in our truss manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for safely transporting raw materials and finished trusses throughout the plant and yard to ensure efficient production flow.
This position plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and shipments on schedule.
What You’ll Do
Operate forklift to move lumber, trusses, and materials throughout plant and yard
Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks
Stage finished trusses for shipment according to delivery schedules
Supply production lines with necessary materials
Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues
Maintain organized inventory and yard layout
Follow all safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Assist production team as needed during downtime
What We’re Looking For
Previous forklift experience required
Forklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to lift 50 lbs when necessary
Strong attention to safety and awareness of surroundings
Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Pay with no experience: $17.50/hr
Pay with Forklift experience is negotiable.
Responsibilities
Train in all areas of the Yard Department to include operating various types of mobile and fixed equipment including forklifts, and loaders. Training includes required hours for each job position and practical test to be a qualified operator.
Interpret all operational procedures and parameters, including Job Safety Analysis and Work Instructions.
Perform additional duties as needed.
Recommends improvements to make the workplace safer for self and others.
Demonstrates dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs.
Works well with team members or independently; gives and receives feedback in a constructive manner.
Qualifications
Able to read and write in their primary language.
Organizational skills
Basic math skills
84 Components Fork Truck License
Makes timely and sound decisions; uses resources wisely.
Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations.
