Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Roof and Floor Truss Designer with MiTek software experience to join our team in Yuma, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating precise and optimized truss designs that meet both structural requirements and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret architectural prints to develop accurate roof and floor truss placement layouts in alignment with current 84Components design practices.
- Design roof and floor trusses using MiTek engineering software, ensuring all designs are accurate, cost-effective, and compliant with current policies and procedures (P&P).
- Specify all necessary supplied hardware for each project.
- Maintain a complete and up-to-date Job Tracking Sheet for assigned projects.
- Send approval letters to customers in accordance with P&P procedures when required.
- Provide sales and customer support, addressing technical questions and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Keep office workspace, plans, and digital files organized, ensuring all plans are logged properly.
- Attend required meetings and participate in committees as directed by supervisor(s).
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in truss design, specifically with MiTek software.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction and architectural drawings.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
