Freight Broker/Account Executive - Entry Level

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
• Build long-term partnerships by understanding customer supply chain needs and pain points.
• Generate new opportunities and convert your existing business into new growth opportunities for the enterprise and personal compensation.
• Effectively negotiate rates with carriers.
• Interact courteously, promptly, and professionally with internal departments to satisfy customer issues and/or process exceptions to normal guidelines (including, but not limited to shipping, pricing, scheduling, credit, and accounting).
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3 years of Freight Broker Experience, preferably in third-party logistics
• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to be self-motivated with a drive to succeed
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work with technology efficiently
