Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment including, pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory control through accurate stock counting, cycle counts, and updating the warehouse management system
- Assist with warehouse distribution tasks such as stocking shelves, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols outlined by OSHA standards; ensure heavy lifting is performed with proper technique.
- Conduct mechanical inspections of equipment and perform basic maintenance or report issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Support manufacturing or construction-related activities by handling materials with mechanical knowledge and operating heavy equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment by following packaging standards and safety procedures; support warehouse supervisor in implementing process improvements.
Experience
- Demonstrated ability to operate pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Proven skills in inventory control, stock management, order picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes.
- Experience with materials handling techniques including heavy lifting, packaging, and order fulfillment in manufacturing or distribution environments.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations; mechanical aptitude is a plus.
