Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Freight Agent. In this position, you will be responsible for managing freight transportation by coordinating client shipments, identifying suitable carriers, and negotiating competitive rates. You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers, ensure compliance with transportation regulations, and monitor shipments to ensure they reach their destinations on time. Additionally, you will proactively address any issues or delays in the shipping process.
Qualifications
- Experience in freight coordination, logistics, and transportation management
- Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills
- Proficiency in customer service and problem-solving
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
