Job Overview
We are seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers who are passionate about delivering excellence on the road! As a key member of our transportation team, you will operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers and flatbed trailers. We are a small Auto Transporting Company that has been in business for the past 10 years. Our main routes are Idaho, Utah, and Montana. Hours of operation are Monday -Friday.
Class A CDL drivers must have at least 2 years experience with clean driving records. You will be driving vehicles on and off the trailers and strapping down the loads. Your expertise in driving and load management ensures timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, across designated routes. Also has experiance and is comfortable driving in the snow at times, as all 3 routes are area the snow falls.
- Load and unload Vehicles efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary for inop vehicles.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Manage route driving assignments with precision, adhering to schedules and delivery windows.
- Handle various types of vehicles, and heavy loads requiring specialized handling.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records.
- Communicates effectively and respectfully with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
- Must be able to past a drug test.
- Must have current medical card.
Skills
- Proven experience operating tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty trucks with manual transmissions. And 2 years of Class A CDL driving experience.
- Skilled in driving various types of commercial vehicles while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently inop with tow truck assistance or other equipment as needed.
- Excellent route planning skills to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and compliance standards for commercial driving.
