Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their meal
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, Toast
• Upsell menu items, including wines, spirits, cocktails, and special dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Manage cash transactions accurately, process sales using POS systems, and handle cash handling responsibilities
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain a clean and organized dining area, adhering to sanitation and food safety regulations
• Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage guest bookings and seating arrangements
• Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, and menu options to elevate the guest experience
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction from arrival to departure

Experience

• Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability in fine dining environments or upscale establishments is advantageous
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is desirable
• Experience with cocktail mixing, wine knowledge, spirits handling, and food safety practices is beneficial
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
• Basic math skills for cashiering, sales transactions processing, and cash handling tasks
• Familiarity with restaurant operations including bussing, hosting/hostess duties, and guest relations
