As a Locum MD in Psychiatry, you will play a critical role in evaluating and treating patients with mental health disorders, contributing to their overall wellbeing. Your expertise will enable us to maintain high standards of care within our medical practice.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide ongoing psychiatric care, including medication management
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions
- Participate in clinical meetings and case discussions
- Stay current with best practices in psychiatric care
- Educate patients and families on mental health issues and resources
- MD license to practice psychiatry in the state
- Experience in a clinical psychiatric setting
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and therapeutic interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with electronic health record systems
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
- Board certification in Psychiatry preferred
Available Shifts: Weekdays (12a-8a or 12a-12p) and weekends (8a-4p, 4p-12a, or 12a-8a)
Setting: CPEP unit, 56 adult beds and 27 C&A beds
Daily Volume: 25-40 patients and 10-12 admits across the whole clinical team
Patient Population: All ages, high-acuity patients
Support Staff: MDs, APPs, social workers, residents, and nurses
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & expenses
Salary : $200 - $225
