As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in our Emergency Medicine department, responding to a variety of urgent medical issues and overseeing patient treatment protocols. You will collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality medical care, while also having the chance to contribute to clinical procedures and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients
- Assess and manage patient conditions in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals
- Document patient history and treatment plans accurately
- Supervise and train junior medical staff as necessary
- Conduct examinations and diagnostic tests
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees
- Adhere to all medical protocols and regulations
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license in the state of practice
- Experience in Emergency Medicine (Associate level preferred)
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Keen observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Annual Volume: 80k patients
Support Staff: APPs, potentially another MD
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
