Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Urology

 This is a contract, on-site position designed for a physician who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care.

As a Locum Urology physician, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of urological conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and the overall success of our medical practice, ensuring that every patient receives compassionate, evidence-based care.

• Provide comprehensive urological care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up management.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures related to urological conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Document patient encounters accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency urological care as needed.
• Stay current with advances in urology and incorporate best practices into clinical care.
• Maintain compliance with all medical, ethical, and regulatory standards.
• Provide guidance and supervision to medical residents, fellows, and support staff when applicable.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Urology is required.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Minnesota.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urology, with a strong foundation in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in urological surgical procedures and minimally invasive techniques.
• Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced medical practice environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate patient care.
• Must be available for on-site work in Winona and willing to comply with contract assignment requirements.

Flexible Schedule: 8-hour shifts

No call requirement

Setting: Clinic and OR

Patient Volume: 30-35 per day

Procedure Types: Bread and butter

Support Staff: Nurses, clerical support, 3 OB/GYNs, 1 PA

EMR: Oracle Health Cerner

Must be board-certified
