As a Locum CRNA, you will play a critical role in delivering safe and effective anesthesia care for a variety of surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout procedures
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and consultations
- Manage postoperative pain and monitor recovery
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to safety and quality protocols in anesthesia practice
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current certification as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Experience in anesthesia practice as a CRNA
- Strong knowledge of anesthetic techniques and medications
- Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining patient safety and comfort
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts
Weeknight and weekend beeper call required
Case Mix: Orthopedic, general, endo, OB/GYN, pediatrics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, and plastics
Must be proficient in blocks, spinals, and epidurals
Daily Team Structure: 3 CRNAs, 2 MDs
60% medical supervision
EMR: Medaxion
