Position Overview:We are seeking a Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to join our growing team in our San Marcos manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines, manual mills/lathes, compressors, and other shop equipment to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity.Key Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance on CNC mills, lathes, and auxiliary equipment.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.Maintain and repair shop support systems (air compressors, coolant systems, etc.).Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.Work with the production team to identify and resolve performance or safety issues.Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance logs, and service schedules.Support equipment installations, upgrades, and calibrations as needed.Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing maintenance role.Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.Experience maintaining CNC machines (Haas, Okuma, or similar preferred).Familiarity with PLC systems and industrial controls a plus.Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics.Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.Organized, reliable, and proactive with excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.Preferred Skills:Haas CNC maintenance experience.Welding and fabrication skills for light repairs.Understanding of coolant systems and chip conveyors.Forklift certification or experience operating material-handling equipment.Company Description74Weld is an industry leader in precision machining and off-road performance engineering.
