The Nurse Aide will carry out specific tasks and procedures as designated by the Registered Nurse in accordance with hospital policy and established job functions. He/she will cooperate with nursing staff in meeting needs and/or wants of patients by performing tasks for which the employee has been prepared. Education High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of a Licensed Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent experience. Current licensure as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of Vermont – unrestricted. This is a bargaining union position. The University of Vermont Health Network/Porter Medical Center is located in the heart of beautiful Middlebury, Vermont. We are comprised of a 25-bed acute care facility, a 98-bed skilled nursing facility which includes a memory care unit, short-term rehabilitation unit and a long-term care unit, and a network of primary care and specialty medical practices throughout Addison county and the town of Brandon.
