Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections at the deli counter.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales transactions.
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, including food prep areas, counters, and equipment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Restock supplies as needed and ensure product displays are attractive and organized.
- Follow proper food safety protocols, including proper food handling, sanitation, and serving procedures.
- Assist with bussing tables or cleaning areas during slower periods to support overall store operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, offering recommendations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor.
