The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and understands that quality caregiving requires patience, kindness, respect, and genuine care. We are looking for someone who will treat the individual with dignity and compassion, engage him in meaningful activities, encourage him to participate in the community, and look for opportunities to make each day positive and enjoyable.

The caregiver should be comfortable taking initiative and supporting the individual with activities both inside and outside the home, including walks, recreational activities, community outings, appointments, and other activities based on the individual's interests and abilities.

  • Encourage independence by allowing the individual to make choices and participate in his daily routine as much as possible.
  • Prepare meals according to the individual's dietary needs, preferences, and care plan.
  • Monitor the individual's condition and report any changes, concerns, or unusual behavior appropriately.
  • Assist with medication reminders or medication-related tasks as permitted by the individual's care plan and applicable requirements.
  • Use proper transfer and manual-handling techniques when assisting with mobility and transfers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while respecting the individual's privacy and dignity.

  • Must be patient, compassionate, respectful, dependable, and emotionally supportive.

  • Ability to recognize changes in an individual's condition and communicate concerns appropriately.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other support needs is a plus.

  • Ability to safely assist with transfers, mobility, and physical care tasks.
  • Must be reliable and willing to actively participate in the individual's daily life and care.
