Floor Manager (Night Shift)

7 Spring is a luxury members-only backgammon and social club in Manhattan, recently featured in Time Out. We are hiring a Floor Manager for the night shift to lead service, protect the member experience, and run the room smoothly through every shift.
The Floor Manager is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring an elevated guest experience, and leading the team with professionalism, clarity, and efficiency. This is a hands-on hospitality leadership role for someone who can manage a team in real time, navigate complex guest situations with discretion and composure, and maintain high standards across service, cleanliness, and operations that reflect the high-quality environment of 7 Spring.

- Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00 PM start
- Compensation: $70,000–$90,000 base salary, plus quarterly performance bonuses incentives
- Location: Manhattan (fully onsite). Candidates based in Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Queens preferred.

What you will own:
Floor leadership and member experience
- Run the room every night — present, visible, and engaged on the floor
- Lead member and guest relations through every interaction; protect the member experience as a core measure of success
- Handle difficult or complex guest situations with discretion, composure, and judgment — de-escalating rather than amplifying
- Anticipate friction before it surfaces and resolve it quickly
- Manage table turns, seating flow, and pacing to maximize the night while keeping the room comfortable
Team leadership
- Supervise and support servers, bar backs, and bussers in real time
- Lead pre-shift meetings, product knowledge training, and ongoing service-standard reinforcement
- Build and maintain staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and efficiency
- Onboard and train new team members
- Maintain a culture where staff feel respected, supported, and safe — including upholding our policies on staff safety without hesitation
Operational discipline
- Own opening and closing procedures
- Maintain and enforce floor checklists, cleaning routines, and service standards across every shift
- Complete and review End-of-Day reports accurately and on time
- Coordinate weekly and monthly operational duties
- Ensure all food and beverage preparation and storage meet DOH standards
Inventory and ordering
- Manage inventory to maintain proper stock levels, with attention to limited storage space
- Order liquor and supplies according to par levels to support uninterrupted service
- Experience with inventory systems such as ExtraChef, Toast, or similar is a strong plus
Events
- Assist in the onsite organization and execution of events, ensuring seamless service and alignment with 7 Spring standards
Communication
- Maintain clear communication with ownership and management on operational updates, team performance, and emerging needs
- Manage, respond to, and interact with all inquiries received through info@7spring.nyc in a timely, professional manner.
What we are looking for
- Direct experience as a Floor Manager, Bar Manager, Hospitality Manager, or Maître d' at a members club, upscale nightlife venue, high-end restaurant, or luxury hospitality establishment
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team in real time and create operational routines that ensure consistency
- Even temperament under pressure — strong judgment with difficult, entitled, or intoxicated guests
- Strong service instincts and an unflinching commitment to staff safety
- Polished presentation that fits a high-touch luxury environment
- Comfortable owning inventory, par levels, and operational systems
- Local to NYC — Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Queens
Nice to have
- Existing relationships in NYC's high-end hospitality community
- Food handler or mixology permits
