What are the responsibilities and job description for the Private Piano Instructor position at 7 Notes Modern Music School?
Private Piano Instructor
7 Notes · Est. 2013
We're looking for someone who can play at a high level and make a kid laugh in the same lesson. If you're serious about the craft but know how to meet young learners where they are — you might be exactly who we've been waiting for.
What We Need:
- Teaching private piano lessons as your primary role —
- Bringing high-level musicianship into a kid-friendly, encouraging environment
- Build real relationships with students and watching them grow over time
- Being a consistent, trusted presence your students and their families count on
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in Piano, Music Education, or a related field
- Solid teaching experience — you know how to read a room and reach a student
- Advanced piano proficiency — you can go deep when the student is ready
- A natural warmth with kids — technically skilled and genuinely fun to learn from
- Availability for at least one to two weeknights and /or Saturdays — these are non-negotiable
- A commitment of 1–2 academic years minimum — we invest in you, and we ask the same in return
This Role Is For You If...
- You want to grow a student roster and build something lasting, not just fill hours
- You're excited to develop as an educator within a school that has a solid philosophy and culture.
- Opportunities to grow into Group Piano Teacher- training provided.
- You genuinely care about your students' progress between sessions, not just during them
Pay: $31.02 - $36.77 per hour
Benefits:
- Flexible schedule
- Paid training
- Professional development assistance
Application Question(s):
- Are you able to commit to one academic school year?
Work Location: In person
Salary : $31 - $37
