Quality Control Inspector (Sheetmetal and CNC)

Mandatory Skills Test: Applicants must successfully complete a First Article Inspection (FAI) skills test by measuring a sheet metal part with a caliper and accurately completing an Excel FAI report.

Overview
(Sheet Metal & CNC) We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards through thorough inspection and analysis. The ideal candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, perform First Article Inspections (FAI/FAIR), and accurately complete FAI documentation in Microsoft Excel. Candidates must be proficient in using common sheet metal inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, thread gages, and other precision measuring instruments. Your expertise will play a critical role in maintaining our commitment to quality and excellence in sheet metal and CNC manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to read and understand blueprints fully. (Notes, dimensions, Material, finishes ETC)
• Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Utilize various measuring tools, including calipers and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), to perform precise measurements.
• Analyze data collected during inspections and document findings accurately for reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement in quality systems and processes.
• Implement quality control procedures and standards in alignment with company policies.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Experience

• Proven experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing (sheetmetal and CNC) environment is mandatory.
• 3 - 5 Years of Sheetmetal quality experience.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and methodologies is essential.
• Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers and CMM is required.
• Experience with data collection techniques and analysis is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
