Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Conduct verbal explanation of product to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain store merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are attractively presented
- Provide knowledgeable assistance on store products, including grocery items, to answer questions and recommend suitable options
- Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in regular stock counts and audits
- Assist in supervising team members when needed, helping to coordinate daily tasks and ensure smooth store operations
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic cashiering procedures
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers in a bilingual environment (preferred)
- Experience in supervising or leading teams is a plus but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle customer concerns professionally
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math for pricing and discounts, and inventory counts

- Excellent phone etiquette skills combined with clear communication abilities to provide outstanding service
