Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle retail sales transactions accurately, and manage cash drawer handling with integrity
- Assist customers with product demos, upselling, and answering questions about store merchandise
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented through effective merchandising techniques
- Conduct product knowledge sharing and promote store promotions to boost sales
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Support inventory management by stocking new products and assisting with inventory counts
Requirements
- Previous retail experience or grocery store experience is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus)
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, retail math calculations, and balancing cash drawers accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is advantageous
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
