Retail Sales Associate

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Maintain organized merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stocking practices to attract customer attention
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, restocking shelves, and conducting periodic stock counts
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions via phone or in person with clear communication and proper phone etiquette
• Support the team by supervising new or less experienced staff when needed, fostering a collaborative environment

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions
• Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, and merchandising strategies is advantageous
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
• Prior experience working in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial but not mandatory
