Cashier/Customer Service

Duties

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy and speed
• Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos to enhance their shopping experience
• Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and confidence
• Maintain organized merchandising displays and stock shelves to promote products effectively
• Upsell complementary items and promote ongoing sales campaigns to maximize store revenue
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and participating in periodic stock counts

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions
• Previous supervising experience is a plus for guiding team members during busy periods
• Ability to conduct product demos confidently to educate customers about features and benefits
• Bilingual skills are highly valued for serving diverse customer needs effectively
• Strong phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone or in person
• Excellent communication skills to engage customers clearly and courteously
• Basic math skills for calculating totals, discounts, and change accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in retail sales, grocery store operations, or similar settings is preferred
• Knowledge of merchandising, stocking techniques, and retail math principles to support store presentation and operations
