Job Summary
The Member Service Representative Lead supports daily branch operations by managing cash levels for cash recyclers, PTMs, and ATMs while delivering exceptional member service. This role builds strong member relationships, supports branch staff, and promotes Credit Union products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain assigned referral and sales goals
- Provide accurate, professional, and friendly service to members
- Process a variety of member transactions (deposits, loan payments, transfers, account maintenance, ATM services, IRA and business transactions)
- Mentor and assist with training new Member Service Representatives
- Support branch staff with cash exchanges and daily balancing
- Order, receive, verify, and audit cash shipments under dual control
- Maintain cash vaults, recyclers, ATMs, PTMs, and Instant Issue card inventory
- Prepare and reconcile required cash and Liquid Fund reports
- Follow all security, compliance, and confidentiality requirements
- Assist with branch opening and operational needs as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of financial institution or cash-handling experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with cash
- Proficiency with calculators and basic computer systems
- Successful completion of an Excel assessment
- Professional demeanor with strong communication skills
- Must be bondable and able to travel locally
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and use hands frequently
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Moderate noise level; may work around mechanical equipment and outside conditions
