About the Role
The Member Service Representative Lead plays a key role in supporting branch operations by managing cash levels for cash recyclers, Personal Teller Machines (PTMs), and ATMs. This position provides exceptional member service, ensures accurate transaction processing, and supports branch sales and referral goals. The MSR Lead also serves as a resource for branch staff and may assist in training new team members.
What You’ll Do
- Maintain established referral and sales goals for deposits, loans, and credit union services.
- Provide professional, friendly, and accurate service to members and internal employees.
- Process a variety of financial transactions, account requests, cash handling, and member inquiries.
- Follow all security, compliance, and check-handling policies.
- Support branch operations in the manager’s absence, including decisions related to funds availability, check holds, and fee waivers.
- Manage cash ordering, shipments, audits, and balancing for cash recyclers, ATMs, and PTMs under dual control.
- Perform branch balancing functions and maintain accurate logs and reports.
- Assist branch staff with cash exchanges and inventory, including instant-issue cards.
- Open and close branch terminals and maintain proper security procedures.
- Mentor new Member Service Representatives and support ongoing training.
- Perform additional branch duties such as processing night deposits, check scanning, ordering supplies, and supporting loan servicing processes.

What We’re Looking For
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in cash handling within a financial institution or related field.
- Demonstrated accuracy with cash transactions and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with calculators and basic computer systems; ability to obtain an acceptable score on an Excel assessment.
- Professional, organized, dependable, and able to exercise sound judgment.
- Must be bondable.

Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands/arms for extended periods.
