Mgr, Inventory Control

As the Inventory Control Specialist, you will manage the company’s inventory control activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing raw materials and finished products. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Manages the receipt and storage of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and supplies. Monitors inspection of incoming items against orders for accuracy, completeness, and defects. Arranges for the return and replacement of defective items. Manages periodic and special inventories accounts for inventory variances. Develop and implements improvements in policies and procedures to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs. Plans and coordinates the transfer of products, materials, equipment, parts, accessories, and/or supplies between/among warehouses. Engages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluation, organizing, integrating, and controlling. Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company. Identify, label and store materials for proper tracking and location identification for inventory control. Responsible for organizing storage areas to maximize movement efficiency and minimize labor. Determine best shipping methods for materials considering shipping procedures, routes and rates. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and 7 years’ experience Four or more years of experience as a truck driver loading and unloading box trucks. Experience in operating forklifts using all safety guidelines to retrieve merchandise from upper racks and to move merchandise as needed. Experience determining best shipping methods for materials considering shipping procedures, routes and rates.· Military experience a plus LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS: Ability to obtain a forklift License PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to load and unload a 26 ft Box truck with lift gate.
