HOTEL REVIVAL is hiring a MAINTENANCE ENGINEERHotel Revival is 107 key art-centric boutique hotel located in Baltimore's historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, home to 19th-century architecture, lush parks, iconic churches, galleries, restaurants, and cultural venues. It embodies Baltimore by showcasing local products, the city's history, and native cuisine. This award-winning property is internationally recognized for its commitment to the ongoing restoration of Baltimore and its success in social impact.What you'll do:Communicate with Front Desk staff, the Maintenance Manager, and/or the General Manager regarding grounds-related problems or issues that require immediate attention.Perform daily inspection of property for maintenance issues.Train new staff membersClean and maintain all exterior landscape lightingPerform necessary room touch-ups and repairs - including furniture, fixtures, basic electrical, basic plumbing, and HVAC system repairHelp the Maintenance Manager ensure the property passes all city, safety, and ADA codesPerform all regularly scheduled maintenance operations (filters, paint, updates, furniture change-out, etc.)Maintain all equipment/tools; report the condition of all equipment/tools and notify the General Manager when broken, lost, etcManage offsite maintenance and landscaping purchasingMaintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse areaCoordinate special projects with other managers and staffCommunicate with Housekeeping staff regarding room cleanliness/conditionResponsible for the maintenance of company vehicles if applicableProblem-solves and implements methods to improve the departmentWho you are:You have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree.You have a 1 year of related maintenance experience preferred.You can speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.You can read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.You can write routine reports and correspondence.You can speak effectively after guests and groups of co-workers.BENEFITSWe are proud to offer competitive wages and the following benefits for full-time employees:Up to 3 weeks paid time off annually50% off discount at most New Waterloo restaurantsHealth, vision, and dental benefits401K matchingPaid holidaysVolunteer payTuition reimbursement Referral bonusesDiscounts at our shops, hotels local partnershipABOUT NEW WATERLOONew Waterloo is a community-centric independent hospitality company based in Austin, Texas.
