Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team at 64 Albany Pub & Grille. 64 Albany Pub & Grille is a sports bar in the heart of downtown Cazenovia, NY, offering a lively atmosphere, quality drinks, and delicious pub fare. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming space where locals and visitors alike can relax, watch the game, and enjoy exceptional service. Nights and Weekend availability a must. Bartenders and Servers are cross trained for both positions.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in the Toast POS systems as well as the ability to manage time effectively while delivering high-quality beverages and service to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Engage with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport to enhance their experience.
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems, including Aloha and Micros, while handling cash responsibly.
- Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels for efficient operation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours, especially during banquets and catering events.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring guests feel welcome and valued at all times.
Experience
- Previous bartending experience in a fine dining or nightclub setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling regulations is essential.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Experience with sales techniques to promote beverages and specials effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Background in the food industry or retail math is advantageous.
