Location: Brooksby Village by Erickson Senior Living Brooksby Village is looking for a a proven leader to join our Activities and Programming Department We are looking for a Programming Manager to oversee the overall operation of the Continuing Care Programming Department. This position assures that an on-going program of therapeutic and recreational activities stimulate the physical, intellectual, social, spiritual and emotional well-being of our Continuing Care residents (skilled nursing, long term care, memory care and assisted living. How you will make an impact: Provide an environment that promotes and supports an active, healthy and independent lifestyle in accordance with the abilities of each individual resident. Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the activity programs of Continuing Care, adapt programming based on the level of resident’s impairment. Participate in the Interdisciplinary Team Care Planning process. Provide oversight of delivery of customized, individualized resident services. Create a monthly activity calendar to be displayed on each nursing unit and in each resident’s room. Design and plan therapeutic and recreational activity programs using own skill areas of specialty. Determine the need for activity supplies, identify vendors, generate supply lists, order supplies, label and distribute supplies where needed. Ensure compliance with Federal, State and County requirements related to activity program documentation, including daily attendance, monthly calendars, progress note, MDS and Care Plans. Participate in yearly budget planning process; identify payroll and department supply needs. Educate staff and volunteers regarding resident’s abilities and limitations, psychosocial needs and therapeutic interventions during in-service training and staff meeting. Compensation: Depends on Experience - $70,000 - $85,000 What you will need: Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or an activities professional who is licensed or registered, if applicable, by the State in which practicing; and is certified as a therapeutic recreation specialist or as an activities professional by a recognized accrediting body is required. Has minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Activity/Recreation/Program Manager/Director in a geriatric setting or 4 years as a Programming Assistant or 1 year as a Program Coordinator is required. ADCP (Activity Director Certified Provisional) or ADC (Activity Director Certified) is preferred. CPR Certification required. May be a qualified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant or completed a training course approved by the State.
