Key Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and leadership to Mechanical Project Managers and Superintendents to successfully plan, execute, and close out complex mechanical construction projects.
- Play an active role in the development and delivery of internal training and leadership development programs for the mechanical construction team.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies to build bench strength and elevate the capabilities of project management staff.
- Oversee project performance by monitoring schedules, budgets, manpower allocation, and contractual obligations across the mechanical construction portfolio.
- Review and approve mechanical estimates, change orders, and procurement strategies.
- Personally lead and manage high-profile or strategically important mechanical projects as needed.
- Collaborate with design teams and provide constructability reviews and value-engineering input during the development of construction documents.
- Represent the company in client partnering sessions, industry events, and vendor meetings to strengthen relationships and enhance market reputation.
- Continuously monitor project progress, identify risks or delays early, and provide actionable recommendations to the VP of Construction and executive leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement in construction methods, productivity, and quality outcomes.
- Remain current on evolving building codes, industry standards, and emerging technologies in mechanical systems.
- Coordinate closely with other department leaders (electrical, plumbing, sheet metal, etc.) to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies
- Proven leadership ability with experience guiding teams of project managers and field superintendents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to represent the company professionally at all levels.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction (internal and external).
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistent demonstration of ethical leadership.
- Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 8 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical construction, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior project management role.
- Equivalent combination of education and extensive field/trade experience will be considered.
- Valid driver s license and clean driving record.
- Professional trade licenses or certifications (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, LEED AP, etc.) are a plus.
