Associate Salesperson - Resort and Destination Apparel

About the Position

We are seeking a motivated, knowledgeable, and business-minded Associate Salesperson to join NJ team and play an important role in growing and scaling our Resort apparel brand nationwide.

This position will report directly to the Brand Director and work closely to develop and grow our business with retailers across the country. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge within the fashion industry and understand the wholesale and retail landscape.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take an active role in building a business, developing retailer relationships, supporting national sales initiatives, and identifying new opportunities for growth.

Our product categories, graphic t-shirts, sweatshirts and pants, headwear, accessories.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Brand director, to execute the company's Resort Brand sales and growth strategy.
• Support the in developing and expanding relationships with retailers and customers across the United States.
• Assist with managing existing retail accounts while identifying opportunities to increase sales and distribution.
• Help develop new business with retailers, specialty stores, department stores, mass merchants, e-commerce companies, and other relevant channels.
• Participate in market appointments, customer presentations, trade shows, and sales meetings.
• Present products and collections to buyers and retail customers in a professional and compelling manner.
• Build a strong understanding of customer needs, product assortment, pricing, competitive activity, and market trends.
• Research and identify potential new retail customers and sales opportunities.
• Follow up on sales leads, samples, presentations, quotes, and customer requests.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers and help move opportunities from initial presentation through order placement.
• Work with the brand director and internal teams to identify opportunities for new products, new categories, expanded distribution, and increased sales.
• Gather customer and marketplace feedback and communicate insights to the product team.
• Stay informed on current trends in fashion, apparel decoration, textiles, and retail.
• Help develop strategies to increase the visibility and growth of the Resort brand business.
• Maintain organized records of customer activity, opportunities, and sales initiatives.
• Take on increasing responsibility as the Resort brand business continues to grow.

• Commercially minded, with an understanding of what drives retail sales and customer relationships.

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous experience in sales, account management, business development, or customer service within fashion, consumer goods, resort or hospitality.
• Experience working with retailers, buyers, distributors, or wholesale customers.
• Existing relationships within the apparel and resort business a plus.
• Experience working in a showroom, wholesale environment, manufacturer, or consumer products company is preferred.
