Lawn Care Crew Member

Overview:

Join our team as a Lawn Care and Maintenance Crew Member and contribute to creating beautiful outdoor spaces for our clients and the community.

You will be part of a team responsible for creating and maintaining Residential and Commercial Lawns, Gardens, and Landscapes.

Crew Lead & Foreman Positions may be offered to suitable candidates.

Primary Responsibilities*:

-General

• - Operate, Clean, and Maintain vehicles and landscape equipment.
• - Use hand tools effectively and safely.
• - Utilize applications on mobile phones to track scheduling and time sheets.

- Lawn Maintenance

• - Mow Lawns.
• - Trim lawn edges and around obstacles.
• - Use Blower to keep sidewalks and driveways free from grass clippings and debris.
• - Collect and bag grass clippings, yard waste and debris.
• - Trim and Prune Trees.
• - Spread or Spray fertilizers and pesticides.

- Garden Maintenance

• - Weed plant and garden beds.
• - Plant ornamental and edible plants.
• - Prune plants, hedges, and bushes.
• - Dig holes and prepare soil for planting.
• - Irrigate plants and ensure proper watering.

Other Responsibilities*:

-Landscapes

• - Dig Trenches.
• - Install turf, sod, and rock beds.
• - Build patios, fences, and retaining walls.
• - Install features such as ornamental plants, decorative rocks, and fountains.
• - Install drainage pipe and irrigation systems.

-Snow Removal

• - Operate trucks with plows and salters.
• - Shovel Snow.
• - Spread salt and ice melt on high traffic areas.

Requirements:

• - Lift 50 pounds.
• - Work well in a team environment.
• - Strong attention to detail and precision.
• - Follow detailed instructions.
• - Work independently.
• - Willing to improve.
• - Communicate clearly and concisely.
• - Able to commute to and from work.

Preferred Qualifications(Any or All):

• - Ability to take pride in work performed.
• - Valid South Dakota Drivers’ License.
• - Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
• - Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in landscaping.
• - Previous experience with full-time lawn and garden maintenance, irrigation, or landscaping work.
• - Knowledge of basic tree care practices
• - Skilled in use of heavy machinery e.g. Skid-Steers, Excavators, Trucks.
• - Experience in Project Management, Crew Leadership, or as a Site Foreman.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.50 per hour
