Healthiest Lives. Together. JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests. Performs phlebotomy as needed. Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment. Understands the clinical significance of the testing performed. Responsibilities for correction of procedural / instrument issues. Responsible for teaching, training and mentoring. EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in biological science or chemistry, but medical lab science degree preferred. Medical Laboratory Scientist certified or certified in the field. If certificate qualified, certification to occur within 1 year of hire. EXPERIENCE: Minimum experience – MLS internship completed.
