A growing Metro Detroit service company is seeking a highly motivated Head of Operations to lead day-to-day operations, manage our people, and help drive the continued growth of the business.
This is not a desk-only management position.
We are looking for an energetic, hands-on leader who can manage people, solve problems, improve operations, oversee sales and customer service, and take ownership of getting things done.
The right person does not need a specific degree or corporate background. We care much more about leadership ability, work ethic, honesty, organization, common sense, and results.
WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
People & Crew Management
- Lead and manage field crews, office staff, salespeople, and customer service personnel
- Hold employees accountable for performance, attendance, productivity, and quality
- Help recruit, hire, train, and develop employees
- Build a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer service
- Address employee issues quickly and professionally
Daily Operations
- Oversee scheduling, dispatching, staffing, vehicles, equipment, and job completion
- Ensure crews are properly staffed and jobs are completed efficiently
- Monitor quality and customer satisfaction
- Identify operational problems and implement solutions
- Improve systems and procedures as the company grows
- Work directly with ownership on company priorities and expansion
Sales & Growth
- Manage and hold the sales and marketing team accountable
- Track leads, follow-ups, customer relationships, and sales activity
- Help develop new commercial and residential business
- Maintain and strengthen existing customer relationships
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and expand services
Technology & Organization
- Must have basic computer knowledge and be comfortable learning new software
- Work with scheduling, dispatch, CRM, invoicing, email, spreadsheets, and reporting systems
- Use technology to improve communication, accountability, and efficiency
- Track key operational and sales performance numbers

Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
