JOB SUMMARY
The Office Support role is responsible for tracking inventory, maintaining accurate records, packaging and weighing items, printing shipping labels and postage, inspecting received goods, and distributing products to appropriate storage locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Package products for shipment and determine the best method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures to ensure accurate rates.
Confirm the accuracy of shipping addresses, and print shipping labels and postage.
Serve as a liaison between service and vendor personnel.
Review inventory levels and place orders for materials, supplies, or equipment.
Unpack and inspect receivables, confirming the condition, number of items, and accuracy of products received.
Reject inaccurate or incomplete shipments, and contact the appropriate vendor to resolve discrepancies.
Compare the quantity, weight, and measurement of products against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, or other records.
Unload receivables and place them in designated storage areas.
Ensure shelves and storage bins are clean and in proper order.
Restock supplies in the breakroom, including paper towels, soap, utensils, etc.
Perform physical inventory counts.
Maintain and file shipping and receiving documentation.
Order lunches for business meetings and events.
Provide limited administrative tasks based on business needs.
Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
Previous experience in an Office Support or Shipping and Receiving role is preferred, but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of supply chain management and the ability to utilize inventory tracking software.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel programs.
Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
The ability to work independently and as a part of a productive team.
The ability to pay close attention to detail and identify discrepancies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES AND INTERACTIONS WITH OTHERS
The Office Support position has no supervisory responsibilities. However, the role is expected to interact daily with coworkers, vendors, and the general public.
