Department: 11497 Advocate Aurora Health Corporate - Supply Chain: Corp Strategic Sourcing Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: M-F 8am - 5pm Remote MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for each phase and deliverable of the equipment planning process, including budgeting, equipment list development, existing equipment inventory, user meetings, equipment buyout, equipment deployment, and activation support. Responsible for understanding the standardization initiatives of Advocate Health and maintaining those standards throughout project development and final equipment selections. Aligns with the business owners to understand the scope as well as the goals and objectives of the project. Develops equipment specifications for design purposes by facilitating user group meetings. Recommends and assists with the selection of equipment based on the current Advocate Health standards and the technology necessary to meet the initiatives and strategy of the project. Builds and maintains equipment specifications within equipment planning software. Manages the medical equipment budget on behalf of the project. Provides necessary documents to the project design team to aid in building coordination and finalized construction documents. Answers required RFI from architect and contractors. Ensures equipment is purchased in conjunction with project schedule. Tracks final purchase price to monitor project budget. Reports procurement and budget statuses to project team. Escalates project risks to project team for remediation. Responsible for partnering with PDC, 3PL, and end users to schedule equipment deliveries and installation in accordance to the project schedule. Responsible for partnering with PDC and end users to prepare strategic and discretionary budgets in conjunction with annual enterprise submissions. Continues refinement of budget throughout the annual process to ensure accurate scope in the Proforma submissions. Responsible for developing and maintaining standard room templates inclusive of Advocate Health approved equipment per care area. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED License/Registration/Certification Required: None Required Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Allied Health, Clinical Engineering or related field. Experience Required: Typically requires 5 years of medical equipment planning experience or related experience in medical clinical engineering, supply chain management, or architectural medical planning KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Demonstrates project management ability coupled with strong interpersonal skills to effectively form collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, clinicians, physicians, department leaders and suppliers. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage large volumes of projects. Excellent interpersonal, consensus building, and group facilitation skills. PC Skills with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Attainia Software / 4 Tower. Self-directed and independent decision-making capabilities. Flexibility to deal with a changing environment. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS This position requires limited regional travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.
