Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service, managing office operations, and ensuring smooth daily functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with office management tools, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Experience with Medent EMR a plus but not necessary.
Duties
- Greet visitors and clients promptly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
- Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls accurately and courteously
- Check patients in and out and enter new patient data.
- Perform data entry, maintain filing systems, and update records with high accuracy
- Handle correspondence via email and phone, ensuring clear communication and proper documentation.
- Assist with office management tasks such as proofreading daily billing summary, organizing supplies, and maintaining a tidy reception area
- Support administrative tasks including placing documents from our lab tank into patient charts, managing appointments, and supporting other staff as needed
- Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries efficiently and professionally
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with organizational policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in office management, clerical work, or as a receptionist; medical or dental receptionist experience is advantageous
- Strong computer literacy.
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette
- Ability to operate office equipment such as printers, fax machines, and scanners
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in proofreading and data management.
- Strong customer service orientation with professional communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and handle a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional administrative or office management training is desirable
