Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, including MIG, TIG, and FCAW processes, along with a solid understanding of blueprint reading and fabrication techniques. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including plasma table and sheet metal fabrication. Candidates should have experience working with power tools, hand tools, and machinery such as welding equipment and plasma cutters. A background in construction or manufacturing environments is preferred, along with mechanical knowledge and familiarity with ASME codes & standards.
Duties
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, FCAW, steel and aluminum welding techniques to fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and schematics to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Execute rigging tasks including crane operation and forklift handling to move heavy materials or assemblies.
- Conduct pipe threading, soldering, machining, and sheet metal work as required for various projects.
- Follow safety protocols in manufacturing facility to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist in assembly tasks involving mechanical components, or structural elements according to project specifications.
- Maintain a clean work area and ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding within construction sites or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in MIG welding , TIG welding , FCAW processes; experience with welding preferred.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, basic math for measurements and calculations.
- Hands-on experience with power tools such as plasma cutters, grinders, and hand tools.
- Knowledge of rigging operations including crane handling and forklift operation is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of fabrication processes like pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately while adhering to safety standards. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to quality craftsmanship and safety compliance in diverse project settings.
Pay: $ $21.00 per hour
