About the Role:
The HR Generalist in the real estate and rental leasing industry plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting the full spectrum of human resources functions to ensure a productive and compliant workplace. This position is responsible for implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, and facilitating recruitment and onboarding processes tailored to the unique needs of the real estate sector. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with management to address workforce planning, performance management, and employee development initiatives that align with organizational goals. Additionally, this role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, mitigating risk and fostering a positive work environment. Ultimately, the HR Generalist contributes to building a motivated, skilled, and engaged workforce that drives the company’s success in a competitive market.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within the real estate, rental, or leasing industry.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent.
- Experience with talent acquisition and employee retention strategies specific to the real estate sector.
- Familiarity with payroll systems and benefits administration software.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in conducting training sessions and facilitating employee development programs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding for various roles within the real estate and leasing operations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, payroll coordination, and maintain accurate HR records in compliance with legal requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR policies, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies by conducting regular audits and updating procedures as necessary.
