Job Title: Manufacturing Technician - CNC Lathe
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Department: CNC Lathe
Hours: 7:00AM-4:00PM (Monday - Friday)
Pay: $25-$30 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
Programming and Setup:
Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand the part geometry, dimensions, and tolerances.
CNC Programming: Write and modify G-code or other relevant programming languages
to define machine movements and cutting parameters.
Tool Selection & Alignment: Choose appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and accessories;
Ensure correct alignment and configuration.
Machine Setup: Set up CNC lathes, including workpiece positioning, tooling alignment, and verifying machine settings before production.
Operation and Monitoring:
Machine Operation: Operate CNC lathes efficiently while monitoring performance and making necessary adjustments to maintain quality.
Loading/Unloading: Load and unload raw materials and finished workpieces safely and efficiently.
Quality Control:
Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure
finished parts meet required specifications and tolerances. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with machine malfunctions, tooling, or
programs to minimize downtime.
Maintenance and Safety Routine Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance such as cleaning machines, checking
coolant levels, and replacing worn tools. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and promote a safe working
environment.
Tool Management: Organize and maintain cutting tools and fixtures to ensure
availability and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Proven experience operating and programming CNC lathes.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficient in G-code and/or other CNC programming languages. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and lead jobs with minimal supervision.
