What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker for Screen Printing position at 518 Prints?
We are a busy and growing commercial screen printing shop looking for a capable and dependable individual to be a part of our production of custom screen printed garments, garment decoration, and retail-finishing. This is a full-time position with regular shifts from Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. On the job training is provided and entry level candidates are invited to apply. Familiarity or previous experience with warehouse, textiles, mechanical equipment, visual aesthetic, bulk apparel, direct-to-garment, and/or especially screen printing is preferred and valued, and candidates that meet this criteria are strongly encouraged to apply. Rate is negotiable and opportunities for growth are available based on skill, education, prior experience and ambition of the candidate.
New hires may start with:
- cleaning screens
- stacking, folding, bagging, and boxing product
- counting in goods
- assisting on press
- and position may potentially lead to other opportunities depending on the candidate.
Ideal candidate must be comfortable with:
- working on and/or around technical equipment in a warehouse environment
- completing tasks from start to finish
- learning and implement effective troubleshooting for the best possible outcomes
- communicating, exercising good judgment, and working independently and as part of a team.
Candidate also must be:
- dependable
- have a positive attitude
- able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
- comfortable working with their hands
- and looking for a fast-paced work environment.
Reliable transportation is required as facility is located approximately 20 minutes from Albany and Troy.
