Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Bartender/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role involves preparing and serving beverages and food, managing orders efficiently, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Experience in fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings is preferred, along with proficiency in POS systems such as Aloha and Micros. A strong background in food safety, hospitality, and retail math will contribute to success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately using POS systems like Aloha and Micros
- Take food and drink orders from guests promptly and courteously
- Ensure proper food handling and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties efficiently while maintaining accuracy
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness of bar and dining areas according to health regulations
- Assist with catering, banquet service, or nightclub events as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve multiple tables or bar patrons simultaneously
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, creating a welcoming environment for all patrons
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Previous experience in fine dining, nightclubs, banquets, or food service environments preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and calculating bills or tips accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality setting while maintaining professionalism
- Experience with brewing or beverage preparation is a plus
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and team members effectively
