Manager – HR Services Program
Salary Range: $105,000 – $125,000
Department: HR Services | Reports To: Director of HR Services | Classification: Exempt
Role Scope & Profile
This role is designed for a professional who operates with autonomy, applies sound judgment in complex situations, and values practical, relationship-driven work. It is best suited for someone who prefers advising over administering and is motivated by working across multiple organizations rather than within a single internal HR function.
In this capacity, you will serve as a primary advisor to a portfolio of nonprofit clients, supporting employee relations, compliance, and organizational decision-making in real time. The work is varied and often nuanced, requiring the ability to assess context quickly, provide clear and actionable guidance, and build credibility across organizations with differing levels of structure and HR maturity.
You will also contribute to the ongoing development of HR Services through content, tools, and training, helping to shape how services are delivered as the program evolves.
Core Accountabilities
- Advise clients on human resource-related matters, regulations, and policies
- Manage a portfolio of client relationships with consistent, high-quality delivery
- Interpret HR laws and emerging practices to inform practical recommendations
- Manage the content of the HRS Resource Library
- Design and deliver webinars, workshops, and training sessions
- Develop written HR content and client communications
- Maintain documentation of client work within CRM systems
- Contribute to development of HR Services tools, resources, and delivery approaches
- Partner with the Director of HR Services on priorities and strategy
- Participate in client meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed

Experience & Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree of equivalent experience
- 8 years in human resources, employment law, or a related field
- HR certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred
- Nonprofit experience highly desired
- Consulting, advisory, or multi-client experience is a strong plus
- Willingness to travel as needed
