Duties
- Prepare pizza dough from scratch or using pre-made bases, ensuring consistency and quality in every batch
- Top pizzas with fresh ingredients, following specific recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicing tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new toppings or specialty pizzas based on customer preferences and current trends
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect crusts and toppings every time
- Support food production during high-volume periods, ensuring timely service without compromising quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, preferably within a restaurant or food industry environment
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Experience operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while adhering to dietary guidelines and menu specifications
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours
- Previous experience in fine dining or catering environments is a plus but not required
