What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forward Deployed Sales Engineer position at 5 Talents AI?
Company Description 5 Talents AI grew out of 5 Talents Commercial Real Estate, where a disciplined focus on income statements, cash flow, and risk management supported growth from a small residential portfolio to more than $100 million in commercial real estate across multiple states. The team learned how to identify opportunities, raise capital, optimize operations, and create value, while also seeing the cost of weak visibility and broken processes. Today, 5 Talents AI applies those lessons to help business owners increase income, reduce expenses, streamline operations, and improve customer service through practical AI solutions. The company starts with the business problem and one critical process—such as sales, marketing, underwriting, or operations—then improves it, embeds AI, trains teams, and measures results. 5 Talents AI believes AI should empower people to produce better work, make better decisions, and build durable value for their organizations.
Role Description The Forward Deployed Sales Engineer is a contract, remote role focused on working directly with customers to design and implement practical AI solutions that improve key business processes. Day-to-day, this role collaborates with prospective clients to understand their income statements, workflows, and operational challenges, then translates these needs into clear technical requirements and solution designs. The Sales Engineer participates in discovery calls, creates demos and proofs of concept, and supports the sales process by explaining how AI agents and systems can drive measurable business outcomes. This role works closely with internal product and engineering teams to configure and deploy solutions, document implementations, and ensure customers are trained to use and maintain their AI-enabled processes. The Forward Deployed Sales Engineer also helps measure performance, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for follow-on improvements.
