Pet Groomer

Seeking professional groomer. In Saint Cloud Fl. The perfect candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a salon setting as a pet groomer, and be patient and caring with the pets. Looking for someone 3 days a week to start.

Responsibilities

• Provide grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and styling tailored to each pet’s breed and individual needs
• Assess each pet’s health and behavior to ensure safe grooming practices and identify any potential health concerns
• Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitized after each use
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide recommendations for ongoing care
• Handle pets gently and confidently to reduce stress and ensure a positive grooming experience for both pets and owners
• Keep detailed records of grooming services performed, special instructions, and pet health notes
• Stay current with industry trends, grooming techniques, and breed standards through ongoing education

Experience

• 2 years of previous experience in pet grooming is a must. Additional training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Knowledge of different coat types, breeds, and grooming styles is a plus
• Ability to handle animals safely with patience, compassion, and confidence
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
• Basic understanding of animal behavior and health indicators is desirable
